      <title><![CDATA[Insert Brake Roller in Scanner]]></title>

<p><strong>Instructions for Replacement of Brake Roller</strong></p>
<p>1. Remove any documents on the ADF paper chute.</p>
<p>2. Open the ADF by pulling the ADF open lever and turning the ADF to the front.</p>
<p>3. Remove the Brake Roller from the scanner.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">a. Grab both sides of the Brake Roller cover, and press to the inside and pull down (towards you).</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">b. Lift up the right side of the Brake Roller and remove the right side of the shaft. Then pull the left side of the shaft out of its hold to remove it.</p>
<p>4. Remove the Brake Roller from the shaft.</p>
<p>5. Attach the new Brake Roller. Insert the shaft to the Brake roller aligning the shaft tab with the slot of the Brake Roller.</p>
<p>6. Attach the Brake Roller to the scanner in the reverse order of removing.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">a. Set the left side of the shaft into place first, then fix the right side of the shaft.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">b. Close the Brake Roller cover.</p>
<p>7. Close the ADF. Press down on the center of the ADF to return it to its original position until the ADF lever locks.</p>
<p>8. Reset the Brake Roller counter. &nbsp;See section "5.2 How to Check and Reset the Consumables Counters."</p>

      <title><![CDATA[Insert Pick Roller in Scanner]]></title>

<p><strong>Instructions for Replacement of Pick Roller</strong></p>
<p>1. Remove any documents on the ADF paper chute.</p>
<p>2. Remove the ADF paper chute.</p>
<p>3. Open the ADF by pushing the ADF button and turning the ADF cover to the front.</p>
<p>4. Remove the Pick Roller from the scanner.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">a. Grip the knobs on the sheet guide between your fingers, and lift up to remove.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">b. Rotate the Pick Roller bushing in the direction of the arrow.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">c. Remove the Pick Roller while lifting it up in the direction of the arrow.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">d. Remove the Pick Roller from the shaft while lifting up the tab on the Pick Roller.</p>
<p>5. Attach the new Pick Roller. Insert the new Pick Roller aligning the protrusion on the axis with the groove in the Pick Roller. Make sure that the Pick Roller is completely attacthed. &nbsp;An incompletely attached Pick Roller might cause document jams or other feed errors. When attaching the Pick Roller, make sure that the roller clicks in place.</p>
<p>6. Attach the Pick Roller to the scanner. The procedure to attach the Pick Roller to the scanner is the inverted procedure fo removing the Pick Roller from the scanner. After attaching the Pick Roller to the scanner, perform the following procedure to fix it in place.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">a. Turn the Pick Roller bushing in the direction indicated by the arrow.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">b. Move the sheet guide claws in the direction indicated by the arrow to fix the sheet guide.</p>
<p>7. Press down on the center of the ADF to return it to its original position and lock the ADF button.</p>
<p>8. Reset the Pick Roller counter. &nbsp;Please refer to the Operater's Guild "Chapter 6" for compete instructions.</p>

<p><strong>Instructions for Replacement of Pad Assembly</strong></p>
<p>1. Remove any documents on the ADF paper chute.</p>
<p>2. Open the ADF by pushing the ADF button and turning the ADF cover to the front.</p>
<p>3. Remove the Pad Assy from the scanner. Press the knobs on both ends of the Pad Assy, and pull the Pad Assy upwards to you. &nbsp;When doing this, take care not to catch the pick springs.</p>
<p>4. Attach the new Pad Assy. Hold both ends of the new Pad Assy and attach it to its installation location. &nbsp;When doing this, take care not to catch the pick springs. Make sure the Pad Assy is completely attached. An incompletely attached Pad Assy might cause document jams or other feed errors.</p>
<p>5. Press down on the center of the ADF to return it to its original position and lock the ADF button.</p>
<p>6. Reset the Pad Assy counter. &nbsp;Please refer to the Operater's Guild "Chapter 6" for compete instructions.</p>
